Rico Jacoba of Saint Louis University (Philippines) joins the ARC

Dr. Rico C. Jacoba

ARC warmly welcomes Rico C. Jacoba, PhD, LPT, as the new Associate Editor of Religion and Social Communication. Dr. Jacoba is presently a faculty member at Saint Louis University, Baguio City, Philippines, where he is also teaching Christian Faith Education (CFE) at the School of Liberal Arts and Education (STELA) and Theology courses at the School of Advance Studies (SAS). Currently, Dr. Jacoba is a member of the Board of Directors of the Religious Educators Association of The Philippines (REAP) and serving as the association’s Data Privacy Officer and Website Administrator.

He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy at Mary Help of Christian Seminary in 1995, after which he continued his theological studies at Immaculate Conception School of Theology in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. He started his teaching profession at Saint Louis University, Baguio City, in 1996, handling Philosophy, Religious Education, and Special Education, both in the undergraduate and graduate programs. While teaching, he also enrolled at the same University where he earned his Master of Arts in Religious Studies under the mentorship of Fr. Lode Wostyn, CICM; he also earned his Master of Arts in Special Education and Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Management and was awarded Cum Laude in both. Concurrently, Dr. Jacoba is finishing his dissertation at De La Salle University, Manila where he is enrolled in the PhD Applied Theology program. His research interests are on Intercultural and Interreligious dialogue, Special Education, Pastoral Communication, and Post-colonial Biblical Hermeneutics.
